Our Club Rules

The Club is subject to a broad range of rules, regulations and legislation. All users of the club rooms, facilities and equipment are expected to have read and understood the rules generally and as they apply to the activity being undertaken.

Only row under the supervision of a coach with a coach boat.
Row in a well-defined, anti-clockwise rectangular circuit, out from the launching ramp, towards the end of the yacht harbour breakwater, north east towards the end of Ravensdown Wharf, towards the shore, near the shore heading back towards
Boats may only proceed past the Ravensdown Wharf with the permission and direct supervision of a Coach.
Cox, or Bow seat rower is responsible for maintaining a look-out for other boats, hazards and assessing weather and sea conditions.
In the event of swamping or capsize always stay with the boat until help arrives
Rowing in the dark is not recommended, but if necessary all boats must carry suitable lights in accordance with maritime rules
Boats must stay away from shipping channels at all times
