Becoming a NERC sponsor is an excellent opportunity to improve your brand and company's visibility throughout Dunedin and across the wider region, whilst supporting young rowers from our local schools, helping us to continue to grow the sport of rowing and to build on our long history of sporting achievement.
Our Club and school rowers participate in numerous events throughout the year, including events on the Otago Harbour, culminating in the marquee Maadi Regatta, held alternately at Lake Ruataniwha (Twizel) and Lake Karapiro (Cambridge).
The Maadi Cup is New Zealand's largest secondary school rowing regatta. As the premier rowing event in the Southern Hemisphere, it attracts over 160 schools and 2000+ athletes to compete in various age groups. The 2025 event, held in March, featured intense competition for national titles and prestigious trophies
