Head of the Harbour ...

The weather held for this weekend's Otago regatta as crews from King's, Otago Boys, St Hilda's, Columba, Queens and John McGlashan schools competed across 27 very competitive races throughout the day.

We are well into the season with the Maadi Cup at Lake Ruataniwha fast approaching. Rowers are competing for "seats in the boat" and this weekend gave them a chance to test where they are in their training programmes and achieving their aims for this season.

Thanks to all the club members, families friends and parents for all the work tidying up the club and removing rubbish from the gardens there were chainsaws aplenty! Thanks also to all the volunteers who give up their time to help with umpiring, safety boat operation and keeping tabs on who comes where in the races (not an easy job - binoculars recommended!) - without you these events would just not happen.
